Hug a Tree
Now you know a little more about trees. The nicer you are to trees, the easier it is for them to be nice to you. How can you be nice to a tree?
- If you have room at your house, plant a tree, but do not plant a tree unless you are willing to take care of it.
- If there's a street tree near your house that no one seems to be taking care of, you can water it too.
- Wait for a tree to grow up before you climb on it. Young trees are not strong enough to bear your weight.
- Don't break branches off living trees. They hold up the leaves and trees need all their leaves for making food.
- When you have a little time on your hands, hug a tree. Trees are people's friends!
