It is important to plant your tree in a place where it gets plenty of sunlight and is away from buildings, sidewalks and other trees.

Make sure to pick a good location for your tree. Remember, the tree is going to be there for a long time!

Where to Plant your Tree

Your tree requires air, light, soil and water. Plant it where it will receive lots of sun during spring and summer. Be sure that it is to the south of buldings and fences, or well away from them. Plant it at least three feet away from pavement and buildings if you can. Your tree may grow to be 10-15' tall and equally wide. Plant it away from other trees so that it will have adequate light, water and nutrientsNutrients

All of the substances that promote the healthy metabolism of an organism. Main plant nutrients include nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, calcium, sulfur and magnesium.. Remember that its roots will spread even farther than its branches, as do the roots of trees near where you plant it.
